May 5, 2019 - The intersection of George Ihlo Drive and Payne Street was the scene of a two-vehicle crash Thursday, May 2, 2019.
According to Center Police Officer Chris King, at 1pm a red 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Rani Tomlin, 22, of Center was northbound on George Ihlo Drive.
At that time a maroon 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Luis Martinez Hernandez, 37, of Center was eastbound on Payne Street when he failed to stop at the stop sign where the two roads intersect.
Due to the failure to stop, the Dodge collided with the driver's side of the Ford causing damage.
Tomlin was transported by ambulance to Nacogdoches Medical Center - Shelby Emergency Department for treatment of possible injuries.
Hernendez was issued citations for driving while license invalid and running a stop sign.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
