January 20, 2015 - President Joe Anderson called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. with 43 members and guests present. Harold Hanson led members and guests to several favorite songs and "Happy Birthday" to Joe Anderson, Jim Forbes, Terry Gray, and Walter Manning. Happy Anniversary greetings went to Terry and Johnie Gray, Joe and Linda Anderson, and Alice and Tommy West. New members were recognized: Colleen Doggett, Larry Rymal, Carl Smith, Jeanette Harvey, and Leigh Porterfield.
Program chairman Linda Anderson recognized special guest Colleen Doggett who represented Our Town Times for the media keeping the public informed about programs and activities of the club.
David Swanzy, publisher of the online magazine "We the People of Shelby County, Its History and Heritage" presented a program on Shelby County to the Golden Harvest Ministries Club at their January 18 meeting. He related the 20 most fascinating facts of the area which included some of the first buildings in Center and trails from Nacogdoches and San Augustine through Center to Logansport.
