Golden Harvest Ministries Club September 19 Meeting

September 19, 2016 - The Golden Harvest Ministries Club met Monday, September 19 in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church at 11:30 A.M.  Linda Anderson welcomed 40 members and recognized guests Sylvia Jackson, and Wayne and Gerry Jenicke.  

Larry Rymal led the opening prayer, and Harold Hanson led members in singing the opening songs. Members and guests sang “Happy Birthday” to David Bain, Helen Collard, Johnie Gray, Naomi Hanson, Ellen Manning, Bobbie Nutt, and Larry Rymal who celebrated September birthdays.

Pastor Bobby Bressman blessed the food, and all enjoyed the delicious luncheon and fellowship. Program Chairman Linda Anderson expressed our respect and appreciation to our First Responders, and Chief of Police Jim Albers and Lt. Jeremy Bittick of the Center police spoke about their duties in protecting our city and keeping it safe.  

Secretary Ellen Manning read the August minutes, and Betty Green gave the treasurer’s report. Linda reminded members that flu and pneumonia shots would be given at the October meeting. Members should bring their Medicare cards.  Ann Forbes discussed those on the prayer report and reminded members to visit those in the area nursing homes. Bro. Carl Smith dismissed members in a closing prayer.
