Great Pitching Leads CHS Roughriders Past Tatum HS 3-0

March 8, 2016 - An ace performance by Marco Gutierrez hoisted CHS Roughriders to a 3-0 win in seven innings over Tatum HS on Monday at Center HS.

Gutierrez struck out 13 hitters en route to the CHS Roughriders win. CHS Roughriders' pitcher gave up just four hits over seven shutout innings.

Julian Jimenez racked up two RBIs on two hits for CHS Roughriders. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

The Tatum starting pitcher ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.

CHS Roughriders stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring two runs on a two-run triple by Jimenez.
