Hairgrove Seeks 2016 Republican Nomination for Shelby County Constable Precinct 5

December 10, 2015 - My name is Robert Hairgrove and I am seeking the nomination for Shelby County Constable Precinct 5 on the Republican ballot. I am from Timpson, Texas and started my law enforcement career as a correctional officer for Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department in 2004.

In 2006, I began working with the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Department and worked in the patrol division there until moving back to Timpson in 2007.

I worked for the Shelby County Sheriff's Department for three and a half years beginning in 2007 and was then provided an opportunity to work for the City of Timpson Police Department as a police officer in 2010. I am currently a Timpson police officer and possess an Advanced Peace Officer's License.

I attended Timpson Elementary School and Timpson Junior High School. I then transferred to Tenaha ISD and graduated with honors from Tenaha High School in 2002. I am a life-long resident of Shelby County and very familiar with most families and the area in Precinct 5. I work well with other agencies and constantly share information in reference to ongoing investigations in an effort to clear cases.

If elected, I will continue to work with other agencies and the citizens of Precinct 5. I will assist the sheriff's department with police presence and community policing.
