September 4, 2024 - September marks the beginning of fall which is soon followed by hunting season. Texas hunters born on or after September 2, 1971, must complete a Hunter Education course.
- Minimum age of certification is 9 years of age.
- Those age 9 through 16 must complete Classroom course or Online (+) Field Course.
- Those age 17 and above may complete Online-only in lieu of in person course.
