Joaquin Celebrates with ‘An Olde Fashioned Festival’ on Dec. 3rd

December 3, 2022 - The Joaquin Christmas Festival is coming to downtown Joaquin on Saturday, December 3, 2022 starting at 9am!

First 50 children to receive a Free Stocking!

9am - An Olde Fashioned Festival Begins! Including DJ, Vendors, and Free Bounce Houses (Sponsored by Tri-State Vacuum and Rental, LLC) in the Park.
9am - 4th Annual Candy Cane Classic Car, Truck, & Tractor Show - $20 Entry (must be entered by 10am for judging) (Sponsored by Matthew Motors)
9am - East Texas Chopper Guys Bike Show, Toy Drive, Food Drive - $10 entry or Children’s Toy or Non-perishable Can Food
9am to 5pm - Free Face Painting by MAL (Sponsored by Blounts Pharmacy)
10am to 2:30pm - LifeShare Blood Drive - Sock It to Blood Shortages (Donors get a Free pair of Lifeshare socks!)
10am - Free Treasure Hunt (1st clue at 10am, then a clue every 30 mins, 10 clues per division, two divisions $300 kids / $700 adults) (Sponsored by Bink’s Quick Stop) *Rules posted morning of hunt.
10am - Free Gingerbread House decorating contest, ages 0-16. Adult division 17+ can prepare at home and display day of festival.
11:15am - Parade Line up Starts
11:30am - Free Miss Porcelain Doll Contest at Santa House (Pre-register only, age groups: 0-2, 2-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-13)
11:45am - Car, Truck, & Tractor Show Contest - Winners Announced (Cars/Trucks: 1972 & earlier; 1973-89; 1990-2002; 2003-2022. People’s Choice Award, Most Original, Hot Rods & Rat Rods, Tractors)
12:15pm - An Olde Fashioned Parade Begins (Free to Enter, Please call City Hall 936-269-3021) Grand Marshall is Kelly and David Shaw!
12:45pm - ETCG Bike Show - Winners Announced
12:45pm to 2pm - East Texas Chopper Guys and Joaquin Christian Services Auction Begins
12:45pm to 2:15pm - Free Santa Pictures Begin (following the parade) (Toy Bags, while supplies last, sponsored by Farmers State Bank)
12:45pm to 1:45pm - Grinch Pictures
1:45pm - Gingerbread Contest - Winners Announced (Best in Show, Best Nativity, Best Olde Fashioned)
1:45pm - Parade Contest - Winners Announced (Best Olde Fashioned Float, Most Spiritual for Church, Best ‘Live’ Nativity)
