October 21, 2024 — Notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of Joaquin City Council to be held on October 24, 2024 in the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Dept., 131 Steve Hughes Drive, Joaquin, Texas, beginning at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.
The following items are on the agenda for appropriate action:

5. OPEN FORUM. Open Forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak about items not listed on the agenda. In order to address the City Council, please complete the Open Forum form and submit it to the City Secretary Prior to the start of the meeting. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the City Council shall not discuss, deliberate, or make any decisions on items discussed during the Open Forum. Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person.

11. Discuss and consider action on monthly contribution to the USDA account.
12. Discuss and consider action on the Covered Applications and Prohibited Technology Policy as required by the State of Texas Government Code Chapter 620 and Following the passage of Senate Bill 1893.
13. Discuss and consider action on a purchasing motor pump assembly parts for the RO Plant. Quote from Interstate Specialty of $6,823.08.
14. Discuss and consider action on signing an engagement contract with Water Finance Exchange to help the City apply for grants specifically grants from the Texas Water Board for disadvantaged areas.
15. Discuss and consider action on George Holes to collect and haul off old metal and water heater at the WWTP. He also said that he would pay us $100 for the 16’ trailer that is buckled.
