March 11, 2019 - Joaquin Elementary announces the Students of the Month for March 2019.
Pre-Kindergarten Student of the Month - Karleigh Haas
Harleigh is the pre-k student of the month because she is very helpful and kind. Harleigh works very hard on her pre-k skills, and has beautiful handwriting. Her favorite center is the kitchen because she likes to cook. Her favorite food to cook is pepperoni pizza because she really likes the sauce. Harleigh wants to be Frosty the Snowman when she grows up because she wants to wear the magical hat.
Kindergarten Student of the Month - Paisley Kirby
Paisley Kirby is 5 years old and she loves to play with her Barbie and Barbie house. Her favorite part of school is when she gets to go to centers to do Word Work. When she grows up she hopes to be a vet.
First Grade Student of the Month - Addison Cummings
Addi is 6 years old. Addi likes to play with her Barbie camper with her friend Lola, Her favorite colors are blue and turquoise. She loves Sloppy Joes while drinking orange Fanta to finish it off with her ice cream dessert. At school, Addi loves to play with her friends and her favorite subject is math. Addi was chosen as Student of the Month because she is dedicated to her work. Addi has huge determination in all she does and is a great friend to all. She has great leadership skills.
Second Grade Student of the Month - Jace Gaskin
Jace Gaskin was chosen as Second Grade Student of the Month. His hobby is playing video games and he likes to play fortnite when he gets home. His favorite color is blue. He loves ice cream. Jace was chosen as the 2nd grade Student of the Month for March because he always participates in class activities/discussions, he is a great listener, and is very helpful to his classmates and teacher.
Third Grade Student of the Month - Brent Cummings
My name is Brent Cummings. I am 8 years old. My favorite food is pepperoni pizza. I like the color blue. I have 4 brothers and a twin sister. When I grow up, I want to be a police officer. On the weekends I like to play with my brothers and my sister and my dog named Kelly. My favorite thing about school is Reading.
Fourth Grade Student of the Month - Kaylee McCarty
Kaylee was chosen as the March student of the month because she is very helpful, respectful, and a hard worker. Kaylee loves llamas and everything about llamas. She also loves unicorns, and her favorite food is chicken. Her best friends are Lucinda and Abi. She loves the colors black and red. Kaylee participated in U I L and recently was invited to be in the Elementary Beta Club. She is currently in Joaquin Elementary Student Council. She loves working with the Dash and Dot robots using programs to operate them. In her past time, Kaylee likes to draw and listen to the band 'Panic, At the Disco.' Congratulations, Kaylee on a job well done.
Fifth Grade Student of the Month - Faith Alford
Hi, my name is Faith Alford and when I grow up I want to be a Geologist. My favorite subjects at school are all of the classes, because I like learning new things. My favorite game to play at home would be chess. I have a pet dog named Bandit and a cat named Midnight. Finally, I am looking forward to going to middle school next year.
