Joaquin ISD Federal Programs Meeting Non-Public Schools Notification

May 6, 2020 - Joaquin ISD plans to participate in the following Federal Programs during the 2020-2021 school year: Title I-Part A, Title I-Part C Migrant, Title II-Part A, Title III-Part A- LEP, Title IV, Part A, Carl D. Perkins – Title I, Part C and IDEA-B.

Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Principals, Other School Personnel, Parents, Community Members and Business Representatives are invited to virtually attend the 2020-2021 ESSA Consolidated Application meeting on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 5:30pm. -- JISD Admin. We will plan 2020-2021 program activities and gather input for the preparation of the application for funding. A draft of the Title I, Part A -Parental Involvement Policy and School/Parent Compact/Pledge will be presented during the meeting for input to ensure our Parental Involvement in JISD is exemplary.

Private schools (including home schools) have an opportunity to participate in the 2020-2021 federally funded programs conducted by Joaquin ISD. If your school or facility is interested in participating in any of the above programs, please contact Kathy Carrington, Special Education Director, at 269-3128 ext. 237 by June 30, 2020. Any schools receiving these services must comply with federal program requirements.
