June 30, 2021 - The Joaquin ISD School Board met June 28, 2021 in special session at 6:00 p.m. in the Joaquin Boardroom with the following members present: Chrisco Bragg, Ronnie Belrose, Brandon Neal, Jeff Hamilton, Jeff Cater, Jason Harvey, and Jacob Kay. No Board members were absent. Guest present was Bubba Carrington. Joaquin ISD Employees present were Ryan Fuller, Superintendent; Kathy Carrington, Special Education Director; Vera Knight, Elementary Teacher.
Chrisco Bragg, President, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. The invocation was led by Chrisco Bragg, and the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America by Jeff Hamilton, and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Texas Flag was led by Ronnie Belrose.

4. The board entered closed session in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act,
Texas Government Code Section 551.074 at 6:01 p.m. on June 28, 2021.

5. The board entered open session in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act at 6:22 p.m. on June 28, 2021. Agenda Items for discussion, consideration, and possible action:
5.1. Consideration and Board Action, if any, authorize:
5.1.a. It was moved by Jeff Hamilton, and seconded by Ronnie Belrose, to accept the resignation of Casey Gamble. Following discussion, a vote was taken on the motion. It carried unanimously.
5.1.b. It was moved by Brandon Neal, and seconded by Jacob Kay, to hire Billy Carrington as the Elementary Principal for the 2021-2022 school year. Following discussion, a vote was taken on the motion. It carried unanimously.
6. Chrisco Bragg, Board President, asked for items to be placed on the next board agenda.
7. Designation of date and time of next meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Joaquin ISD. July 12, 2021 - 6:00 p.m.
8. With no further business on the agenda the meeting was adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
