May 3, 2019 - The Joaquin ISD School Board met Thursday, May 2, 2019 in special session at 6:00 p.m. in the Joaquin Boardroom with the following members present: Chrisco Bragg, Ronnie Belrose (teleconference call at 6:13p.m.), Tam Hearnsberger, Jeff Cater, Thomas Harvey, Bill Mason, Jr., and Brandon Neal.

School Employee(s) Present: Joel Bumback, Director of Finance
Chrisco Bragg, President, called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
2. The board entered closed session in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074 & 551.129 at 6:03 p.m. on May 2, 2019.
§551.074 Deliberate the appointment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee; or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee.
§551.129 A governmental body may use a telephone conference call, videoconference call, or communications over the Internet to conduct a public consultation with its attorney in an open meeting of the governmental body or a private consultation with its attorney in a closed meeting of the governmental body.
2.1 Discussion of sole finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
3. The board entered open session in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act at 6:22pm on May 2, 2019.
3.1 It was moved by Jeff Cater, that the Board name Ryan Fuller as the Sole finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools of the Joaquin Independent School district and that the District give public notice that Ryan Fuller has been named the sole finalist for the position of Superintendent. The motion was seconded by Thomas Harvey and a vote was taken with the vote being 7 for and 0 against. The motion passed.
4. With no further business on the agenda the meeting was adjourned at 6:32 p.m.
