Joaquin VFD April 9-15 Activity Report

April 17, 2023 - The week of April 9 through April 15 yielded three calls for the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department. Here’s a summary of the week’s events. 
 
Thursday night, April 13, at 9:28pm a call came in regarding a man bleeding from his knee at a residence on County Road 3804. It was also reported that the patient had knee surgery the previous day. The JVFD medical team responded to render aid until Allegiance EMS could arrive to transport the patient.
 
Friday night, April 14, at 7:57pm a call was received for a man suffering from shortness of breath at a residence on Highway 84 East. The JVFD medical team responded in association with Allegiance EMS to get the patient the appropriate care.
 
Saturday night, April 15, at 11:14pm a call came in for a fallen tree limb resting on a power line and causing sparks on County Road 3341. Upon arriving on scene no active fire was visible, but Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative was notified of the limb and a crew was sent out to remove it.
