March 3, 2022 - The Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department was paged out to a structure fire on Highway 84 East at 10:54pm on March 2, 2022. Once on the scene, the first responders found a house fully engulfed with flame. After a brief attack on the fire from a few different angles, the firefighters made a knock-down on the blaze, and were able to begin putting out the hot spots.
Responding to the call were three trucks from the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department, and two from DeSoto Fire District #1. No one was harmed in the fire but the house was a complete loss.
