January 12, 2015 - The Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a hamburger supper and political rally on Saturday, February 27th. The event will be held at the Joaquin ISD Cafeteria. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., hamburger plates will be served for $7.00, including chips and a soft drink. At 6:00 p.m., each candidate running for political office in this year's election will be given five minutes to speak, after which they will get to auction off a cake or pie provided by the JVFD Ladies Auxiliary. This will be a great opportunity for residents of the Joaquin area to hear where the candidates stand on the issues, while enjoying some good food and supporting their local fire department.
