March 15, 2023 - My name is Kim Todd and I am formally announcing my candidacy for a seat on the Timpson City Council. I have lived in Timpson for over 50 years and love being from a small town.
I am an active member of the Timpson First Baptist Church. Serving the community has always been part of who I am. While raising my two children here, I was a baseball coach for the Timpson Piney Woods League and I still love following our local sports teams as a proud 'Noni' of 6 grandchildren! I am a former member of the Timpson Volunteer Ambulance Service and I have the utmost respect for our first responders, all of which are volunteers.
As a home health worker, I spend a great deal of time listening to my clients. I hope to get to do the same as I get out in the community, I plan to listen.
I think that to serve in this position the most important thing will be to listen to what people have to say. I plan to listen to our citizens, listen to our city employees, to our other city officials, listen to the volunteers on the fire department and ambulance service, listen to our business owners and listen to our JP and constable.
Our town has the potential to grow and prosper and I hope to help find ways to bring this about. I look forward to serving ALL the constituents of Timpson, TX.
Early voting is from April 24th - 28th and May 1st - 2nd. Election Day is May 6th at the Timpson ISD Gym Foyer from 7am – 7pm. Thank you and please remember to get out and vote!
