Kyle Coffin DDS Announces Office Re-Opens May 4th

May 1, 2020 - Beginning Monday, May 4th the dental office of Dr. Kyle S. Coffin will return to normal business hours.

Dr. Coffin expressed, "We are so happy to get back to serving you and your families! We have always maintained strict infection control protocols, as set forth by the CDC and OSHA, and will continue to uphold this standard."

In an effort to keep our office a safe and secure environment, we will be implementing a few additional measures.

  • You must be FEVER FREE FOR 7 DAYS prior to your appointment. If you are sick or in the same house as a sick family member, please contact our office to reschedule your appointment. In order to protect our staff and patients, we will not treat anyone who presents with symptoms of being ill (coughing, runny nose, sneezing, fever, shortness of breath, etc.)
  • Temperatures will be taken on patients upon entering the practice. Anybody with a temperature of 100.4 or greater will be rescheduled.
  • Temperatures will be taken on staff members twice per day. Any staff with fever or displaying any symptoms of illness will be sent home and patients may possibly have to be reappointed.
  • We have hand-sanitizer throughout the office and reception area. Hand hygiene is of utmost importance to us. Front office staff will NOT be wearing gloves when taking payments as this leads to a greater amount of cross contamination but will be washing/sanitizing often.
  • We will have every patient rinse with 1.5% hydrogen peroxide solution upon entering the operatory.
  • We are increasing the frequency with which our designated team members are cleaning, disinfecting and wiping down everything in the treatment rooms, restrooms, and reception room. This includes chairs, door handles, light switches, tables, etc. All magazines, toys, and other items which cannot be easily sanitized have been removed from the reception area.
  • We will be scheduling patients in such a way as to minimize waiting and coming into contact with other patients.
  • We ask that when you arrive at the office, please call us and let us know you are in the parking lot. If your chair is not ready, we will call you back to let you know when it is. We want to limit the number of people who enter the office as much as possible. Please do not bring additional individuals with you to your appointment, unless it is necessary that someone come to assist you. We have removed some chairs from the reception area to allow for proper social distancing for those who cannot wait in their car.
  • We ask that you please brush your teeth prior to your appointment.
  • If possible, please wear a face covering when entering the office.
  • Center Glass will be installing germ shields at the front desk.

If you would like to schedule a dental appointment, please call our office at (936) 598–6181. We are working diligently to reschedule those whose appointments had to be cancelled due to our closure.

In closing, Dr. Coffin said, "Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate our reopening."
