September 3, 2026 - The Shelbyville girls volleyball team picked up another win at home this week against Apple Springs.
The Lady Dragons breezed through the first two sets but barely lost the third and fourth sets. The girls rallied in the fifth to clinch a win: 25-9, 25-12, 23-25, 21-25, and 15-4.
Freshman Dru Moody led the team overall with 12 aces, 7 digs and 3 kills. The team had 38 digs total; libero Alyvia Notter had 11 of those digs. Setters Tatum Jacobs, 12, and Heidi Stutts, 10, led the team with assists. Cadee Harley-Wells led with 7 kills and Ella Eaves with 6 kills.
The Lady Dragons are coming off a loss against Elysian Fields last Tuesday. The girls will head to Colmesneil on Thursday, September 3rd and Overton on Tuesday, September 8 hoping to improve their 6-7 record before district play starts on September 22.
