Law Enforcement, Center FD Respond to Crash on Hwy 7 Under Snowy Conditions

January 10, 2021 - Law enforcement along with the Center Fire Department responded to a crash on State Highway 7 East of Center shortly after dark on Sunday, January 10, 2021.

With snow falling making visibility poor and covering the roadway, emergency personnel arrived to find a Mercedes SUV which had left the roadway and become stuck across a ditch. The vehicle was pulled out with assistance from wreckers on scene. No injuries were reported.

Stay off roadways if at all possible. The snow covering the roadway makes visibility poor.

If you must get out on the roadway be sure to drive slow, increase following distance between vehicles, use your headlights, don't slam on your brakes, and drive with plenty of gas. Be sure to let someone not with you know where you are going.

Help our emergency responders stay home, warm and safe.
