February 5, 2016 - Center ISD appreciates the display of support by the community over the past few years as we have improved several of our buildings and facilities. We are especially pleased that many of our patrons use Roughrider Stadium, the tennis courts, and surrounding areas as a place of gathering, fellowship, and physical activity. We are proud of the quality, appearance, and the educational experiences each provide.
Unfortunately, our efforts and pleas to respect that investment has failed. Specifically, abuse of Roughrider Stadium is on the rise. Late evenings and the weekends are most problematic. This year alone, the repair and replacement costs to the District has exceeded several thousand dollars. The life expectancy of the stadium track and field has been compromised.
Regardless of the circumstance, Center ISD continues to recognize that the stadium is a cherished place for many who wish to walk and exercise. However, in order to protect the property and maximize the remaining life of the surfaces, Center ISD will be implementing a schedule.
Effective immediately, Roughrider Stadium will be open to the public Monday thru Friday from approximately 4:00 am to 5:30 pm. The stadium will be closed on weekends and holidays. Please keep in mind that the City of Center has constructed wonderful parks and recreation options, including a superb walking trail, for our community to enjoy and use.

Center ISD aprecia la muestra de apoyo por la comunidad en los últimos años a medida que hemos mejorado varios de nuestros edificios e instalaciones. Estamos especialmente contentos de que muchos de nuestros clientes utilizan el Estadio Roughrider, las pistas de tenis, y las zonas circundantes como un lugar de encuentro, la comunión y la actividad física.
