Local Businesses Give Support to Area First Responders

July 17, 2019 - Two local businesses got together to show their support of first responders on Tuesday, July 16 by delivering them a meal.

The pizzas were provided by Classic Nails owners Josh and Lily Moody and Center's Pizza Hut owner Jesse Arnold. Josh Moody and Angela Blalock, a Pizza Hut employee, delivered pizzas to the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, Center Police Department and Center Fire Department to feed the officers and volunteer firemen.

Moody spoke at each of the locations about wanting to demonstrate their commitment to the community, all of the officers and first responders.

Earlier in the afternoon they visited the Sheriff's Department and the Police Department.

"We wanted to bring pizzas from Pizza Hut and Classic Nails to remind all of our first responders, our Sheriff's Department, our Texas State Troopers, our Center Police Department, our [Center] Fire Department. We're committed to Center and we're committed to y'all," said Moody.

Moody and Blalock traveled to the Center Fire Department to present pizzas to the volunteers during their monthly evening meeting

"It's really for all of us to acknowledge the ones that are the first ones on the scene doing what they need to do to protect all of us and we applaud every single one of them," said Moody.

Shelby County Today also appreciates Classic Nails and Pizza Hut for offering support to our law enforcement and first responder personnel.

Thanks for the pizza!
