Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: 204 Cumulative Cases, 111 Active Cases, 87 Recoveries​

June 2, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9am on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, TxDSHS has reported a total of 204 cumulative cases of COVID-19, 87 recoveries, and 6 deaths for a total of 111 active cases.

Yesterday's total case count of 205 was incorrect and should have been 201. On May 31st, DSHS reported 4 new confirmed cases for Shelby County that were later discovered, had previously been reported. So those 4 cases have been subtracted. On Monday evening June 1st, DSHS reported 3 new confirmed cases along with 3 more recoveries. All of the numbers below reflect the changes in the case counts and the demographic information.

DSHS also reports of the 204 cumulative cases, 22 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.
