Texas Military Division 2nd Dose Pfizer Covid Vaccination Clinic (Today)

April 9, 2021 - Texas Military Division will be conducting a follow-up, Pfizer, dose #2, COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Friday, April 9th, from 8am-5pm at the John D Windham Civic Center.

This clinic is designated ONLY for those who received their first dose of Pfizer vaccine on March 19th at the Civic Center that was conducted by the Military.

You must have your CDC vaccination card and picture ID with you when you come and come at your convenience anytime between 8am-5pm.

TMD Returning to Shelby County with Johnson & Johnson Vaccine; Joaquin, Timpson Vaccine Sites Added

March 25, 2021 - Two additional clinic sites have been added to Saturday’s COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic hosted by the Texas Military Division.

In addition to the clinic that will be held at the Windham Civic Center Saturday, March 27th from 8:00-4:00, there will also be a clinic held at the Joaquin Volunteer Department, 136 Hughes Dr., Joaquin and the Timpson Volunteer Fire Department  305 Jacob St., Timpson. The Fire Department Clinics will open at 10:00am Saturday.

Free COVID-19 Drive-Thru Testing Site (Update: 88 Tested)

December 10, 2020 - If you were among the 88 people tested in the free COVID-19 Drive-Thru testing on Tuesday, please be patient. You will be contacted once the results are received. The hopes were the results would be known within 24 to 48 hours; however, it is possible the results may take longer.

Please note, the United Pentecostal Church which allowed their property to be used for the testing site, they do NOT have any testing results.

It is possible another Drive-Thru Test Clinic will be held again in Shelby County after Christmas.

Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: No New Cases, 13 New Recoveries​​​​​​

September 8, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 10:43am on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, TxDSHS has reported no new cases since Wednesday, September 2. The cumulative case count remains at 442. The death count is 14 for Shelby County. (The DSHS website dashboard shows 20 deaths for Shelby County as of Sept 3rd.)

According to the state's algorithm to determine recoveries, there are 13 new recoveries, six of which had been overlooked and not previously reprted. The total of recoveries is 414. The number of active cases is 14.

September 4, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9:47am on Friday, September 4, 2020, TxDSHS has reported no new cases and the cumulative case count remains at 442. The death count is 14 for Shelby County. (The DSHS website dashboard shows 20 deaths for Shelby County as of Sept 3rd.)

According to the state's algorithm to determine recoveries, there are 2 new recoveries reported and the total of recoveries is 401. The number of active cases is 27.
