Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: 6 New Cases, 1 More Death

July 13, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:30am on Monday, July 13, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 6 new cases; however, the state reported 1 more death which brings the total death count to 14 for Shelby County. 

The total of cumulative cases of COVID-19 is 294 for Shelby County.

According to the state's algorithm to determine recoveries, 7 new recoveries were reported bringing the total to 246 recoveries. Shelby County has 34 active cases.

Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: No New Cases, 3 More Deaths

July 10, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9:30am on Friday, July 10, 2020, TxDSHS has reported no new cases; however, the state reported 3 more deaths which brings the total death count to 13 for Shelby County. (The state's COVID-19 dashboard still reflects 1 more death for a total of 14 on July 9th)

The total of cumulative cases of COVID-19 is 288 for Shelby County.

Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: 3 New Cases, 4 Recoveries​

July 9, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:30am on Thursday, July 9, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 3 new cases and the total to 288 cumulative cases of COVID-19.

According to the state's algorithm to determine recoveries, 4 new recovery was reported bringing the total to 238 recoveries. Shelby County has 40 active cases and the death count is 10 for COVID-19. (The state's COVID-19 dashboard did reflect 11 deaths for Shelby County on July 8th)

July 8, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:40am on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, TxDSHS has reported no new cases and the total remains at 285 cumulative cases of COVID-19.

According to the state's algorithm to determine recoveries, 1 new recovery was reported bringing the total to 234 recoveries. Shelby County has 41 active cases and the death count is 10 for COVID-19.

According to the state's algorithm to determine recoveries, no new recoveries were reported bringing the total to 233 recoveries. Shelby County has 42 active cases and the death count is 10 for COVID-19.

July 6, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9:00am on Monday, July 6, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 6 new cases raising the total to 284 cumulative cases of COVID-19.

According to the state's algorithm to determine recoveries, 22 new recoveries were reported bringing the total to 233 recoveries. Shelby County has 41 active cases and the death count is 10 for COVID-19.

Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: 3 New Case​, 57 Active Cases

July 3, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 7:41am on Friday, July 3, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 3 new cases raising the total to 278 cumulative cases of COVID-19.

According to the state's algorithm to determine recoveries, no new recoveries were reported so Shelby County remains at 211 recoveries. Shelby County has 57 active cases and the death count remains at 10 for COVID-19.

Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: 1 New Case​, 119 Active Cases

July 1, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9:00am on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 1 new case for a total of 275 cumulative cases of COVID-19. DSHS reports 146 recoveries and 119 active cases.

The state reports 10 deaths from COVID-19.

Of the 275 cumulative cases, 18 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery. These will continue to stay on the active case list until DSHS notifies us otherwise.

Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: 2 New Cases

June 30, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9:20am on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 2 new cases for a total of 274 cumulative cases of COVID-19. DSHS reports 146 recoveries and 118 active cases.

The state reports 10 deaths from COVID-19.

Of the 274 cumulative cases, 18 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery. These will continue to stay on the active case list until DSHS notifies us otherwise.
