A Look Behind the Scenes at Nacogdoches Medical Center Safety Measures

May 21, 2020 - Nacogdoches Medical Center (NMC) continues to care for the needs of our neighbors, with stringent safety standards in place to protect patients, visitors and staff against the novel coronavirus while in the hospital.

Brooks Pannell, RN - Director of Medical Surgical Services at NMC talks about some of the measures in place in this brief, behind the scenes video:

Additional information:

  • Nacogdoches Medical Center is open for all elective care, consistent with the state’s lifting of the executive order that previously required hospitals to halt elective procedures.
  • We have the appropriate PPE to safely care for all of our patients, and we abide by rigorous infection control practices.
  • Special protocols are in place across the hospital to minimize exposure risk for patients, visitors, staff and physicians.
  • Due to the abundance of safety measures the visitation policy now allows one visitor per patient stay in the hospital. All individuals are screened prior to entry and masks are required at all times while in the hospital.
