January 30, 2021 - Nacogdoches Medical Center (NMC) is proud to announce that Modupe A. Sokunbi, M.D., FAAP, pediatric specialist, has been appointed as the hospital’s chief of staff. Dr. Sokunbi is making history as NMC’s first female to hold this position. She will serve in this role through the year 2022.

Visitor Restrictions Reinstated at Nacogdoches Medical Center

January 11, 2021 - Monday, Jan. 11, Nacogdoches Medical Center is reinstating a restricted visitor policy. This policy is being reestablished out of an abundance of caution as the COVID-19 surge continues to impact hospitalizations in Nacogdoches and surrounding communities.

Some exceptions to the rule apply. These are as follows:
• Pediatric and Women’s Services may have one designated support person during their stay.
• NICU inpatients may have two ID banded parents.
