Many Attend Timpson Frontier Days 2019

July 16, 2019 - (Album1Album2Album3Album4Album5) - Timpson Frontier Days 2019 had quite a turnout this year with a variety of events to participate in throughout.

The parade kicked off Saturday filled with floats, cyclists, four-wheeler riders, cars, and people on horseback. Tracy Broadway announced with Joyce Moore as the participants flowed by the main tent.

Following the opening ceremonies the Decorated Bicycle winners were announce and they were first place: Chloe Stanley; second place: Markus Harber; and third place: Caitlyn Madden. This event was sponsored by Land Office Real Estate office, Jerry and Patty Wood.

Winners of the parade float competition were first place: Cowboy of the Year; second place: Timpson High School Cheerleaders; and third place: Woodland Christian Church VBS.

The pet show had a great attendance of competitors with Marsha Tomlinson and Tracy Lee handling its operation. 

Winners of each division were:
Cats: Elizabeth Wolfe with Max.
Dogs 12 and under: first place - Madesen Gregory with Poodle; second place - Kirstie Parks with a Pug; third place - Caitlyn Madden with a Schnauzer; fourth place - Caesyn Lee with a Chihuahua; fifth place Payzlie Lee with a Boston Terrier; and fifth place - Emma Madden with a Basset Hound.

Dogs 13 and over: first place -  Allysha Shepherd with a Yorkie; second place - Lisa French with a Standard Poodle; Kristen Lee with a Pitbull; third place - Scott Burkhalter with a German Shepherd; and fifth place - James Jones with a Husky.

Other: first place - Macy Lee with a chicken.

Horses: first place - Branton Payne with Buttercup; second place - Chris Lee with Hershey.

Dressed the Cutest: first place - Debra McLeroy with a Yorkshire Terrier; second place - Macy Lee with a chicken; third place - Kristen Parks with a Pug; fourth place - Caitlyn Madden with a Schnauzer; fifth place - Caesyn Lee with a Chihuahua; sixth place - Payzlie Lee with a Boston Terrier.

Longest Tail: Longest Tail - Chris Lee with Hershey; Shortest Tail - Caesyn Lee with a Chihuahua; Most Spots - Macy Allen with a chicken; Longest Ears - Branton Payne and Emma Madden; Most Unusual - Macy Lee with a chicken.

The car show had several entries of which many participated in the parade. The winners of the car show are as follows:

Cars: 1st place - Ed Hairgrove '67 Dodge Corvette Billy Neal; 2nd place - Jerry Neal; 3rd place - Billy Neal 

Truck division: 1st place - Mike Cassidy; 2nd place - Randy Mora; 3rd place - Mike Green

Motorcycle division: 1st place - Tad Bailey: 2nd place - William Hinton

People's choice: William Hinton

Best of Show: Stacy Pledger 1970 Chevelle

Cash drawing winner of $500: William Hinton 

Throughout the day the Outlaws performed shootouts on the Timpson square.
