May 23, 2019 - On March 9, 2019 students from Self Defense America in Center TX went and competed in the LA Govenor Games in Shreveport LA. These students come from Center, Shelbyville, Tenaha, Timpson, Joaquin and San Augustine TX, Shelby County was well repesented. Events at the Games were Forms, Specialty Forms, Point Sparring, Chanbara and Jujitsu. Each Student will be listed with the place the received. For over half of these students this was their first competition.

Belt Rank Testing was held on March 2, 2019 at Self Defense America in Center TX. Student had to preform strikes, blocks, kicks, self defense and endurance techniques up to their current belt rank. Students in the photo all passed to their next belt ranking.
