May 25, 2020 - Timpson held a brief Memorial Day program Monday, May 25, 2020 on the city square beside the gazebo.
The ceremony began with Vernett Richardson, U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer-retired, approaching the flag pole on the square where he handed another flag off to mayor Debra Smith.
Smith then placed the flag at a cross, of which there were several beside the brick walkway to the flag pole.
At that time Bradley Young, Class of 2020, played Taps on the trumpet until completion.
