Metcalf Announces Candidacy for Constable Precinct 4

December 22, 2015 - Hello, my name is Jacob Metcalf, who most people know me as (Jake). I am seeking the Office of Constable for Precinct 4. I would like to let the citizens of Precinct 4 know more about me and my experience In Law Enforcement, and what the citizens can expect from me if I am elected as their Constable.

I am the proud son of M.C. (Bubba) and Janet Metcalf of Tenaha Texas. 1 have three sisters. Kaylee, Kyla, and Rana Metcalf. I graduated the Kilgore College East Texas Police Academy in May 2012, and began my Law Enforcement career at the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. In October 2012 I began working for the Tenaha City Marshal's Office without pay until January 2013 when I began working as a full-time paid employee.

In January 2014 I went to the Timpson Police Department to further my career In Law Enforcement. While working at the Timpson Police Department I have had the opportunity to work numerous cases such as Burglaries, Thefts, Narcotics Enforcement, Assaults, etc. and have had great success in the recovery of property, and apprehending the criminals responsible for these crimes.

I began my career in Law Enforcement to help those in need, and my experience obtained while working at the Timpson Police Department has instilled this in me even more. I am also a certified CPR Instructor through the American Heart Association, have EMT training, and also been a member of the Tenaha Volunteer Fire Department for the last 8 years.

I would like to talk about what I would like to see for the future of Precinct 4, and Tenaha Texas.

First I would like to see more patrol throughout the Precinct. I know that a visible presence of Law Enforcement greatly diminishes criminal activity and prevents crime making it safer to All citizens.

Second, if elected, I want the citizens to know that as their elected Constable I will provide them with professional service to the best of my abilities, and work hand-in-hand with the other area Law Enforcement agencies to protect and serve the citizens of Precinct 4.

Lastly, I want for the citizens of Precinct 4 to know that they can call on me to help them with whatever their need is, no matter how big or small. I will be there
for them to assist them in their time of need.
