June 5, 2025 - M&M Roofing celebrated their new location with a ribbon cutting event hosted by the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors on June 5, 2025.
Amanda Treat-Brock welcomed Emily May, owner of M&M Roofing, and invited her to tell everyone about M&M Roofing and “Roofus,” the business’ armadillo mascot.
“On behalf of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and City of Center, we are definitely excited to have M&M Roofing here and joining our Chamber of Commerce [as a] member in 2025,” said Treat-Brock.
May thanked all who attended and explained some about M&M Roofing.
“We have offices in Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and then now here in Center obviously,” said May. “This was the previously the S. Goodwin Roofing Company office. So we're now M&M Roofing. We do a wide range of services from residential to commercial, so we kind of do everything from a shingle roof all the way up to big like we just got done roofing the hospital in Lufkin so big, big projects.”
May introduced many of the employees that are a part of M&M Roofing as well as partners that were present to participate in their celebration. She also thanked many family members that were present in support of the Center project.
“I would not be able to do what we do without the support from them,” said May. “Thank you to the chamber. We're super excited to be a part of the chamber and to represent Shelby County and all surrounding counties around here.”
