July 20, 2016 - The Center Police Department is proud and excited to accept the needed donations from the donors listed at the end of this article.
After learning that the police department was in dire need of a protective cover for their marked patrol fleet. The local business community has come together and graciously donated 100% of the funds and or materials needed to install a carport for the marked Police cars.
This construction project will ensure that the Patrol units are protected as best possible from the extreme elements (heat) and assist in extending the life of the sensitive and expensive electronic equipment within.
This project was made possible through the donations of funds, material and labor, which will assist our Center Police Department in being ready and able to make our community a better place.
As always, it is the Center Police Department's goal to ensure, "our community our commitment" extends to all.
The City of Center and the Center Police Dept. continue to be pleased to have such a helpful and gracious business community in and around Center; Shelby County, Texas.
Center City Council approval granted on 07/11/2016 project completed on 07/15/2016. We give a dedicated thank you to all of our local supporters.
