September 8, 2016 - The rider involved in a motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway west of Timpson is in Nacogdoches Memorial hospital following the incident on Thursday, September 8, 2016.

Timpson Police Officer Jake Metcalf informed the Shelby County Sheriff's Department of the crash when he was informed by a passerby that it had occurred.

When the Timpson Police Department and Timpson Volunteer Fire Department arrived on scene, good samaritans from Dallas were directing traffic to prevent another incident and protect the injured party who had been riding the motorcycle.
