August 29, 2022 - This month marks the 21st Anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Across the United States, cities, towns, communities large and small and college campuses have been honoring the nearly 3,000 victims of this horrible tragedy by placing 3,000 flags in public spaces.
On Thursday, September 8th, the NextGen group, along with area Junior Chamber of Commerce students will place 3,000 on the historic courthouse lawn.

The September 11th attacks were an unimaginable tragedy. But we also saw, and continue to see, uncommon valor, service, courage and the unbreakable bond we Americans share. The flags will be placed on the historic Courthouse lawn on Thursday, September 8th at 6:00pm and will remain there throughout the weekend. We encourage you to stop by to view the memorial and remember those who lost their lives on this tragic day 21 years ago.
