October 7, 2026 - For 50 years, the Poultry Festival has brought our community together to celebrate our poultry industry, our local businesses, and most importantly, the wonderful people who make Shelby County such a special place to call home.

This past weekend, we celebrated 50 years of traditions, friendships, family, fun and hometown pride.

A celebration this big does happen without many dedicated volunteers, sponsors, businesses, civic organizations and community members. Thank you to all the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to make it a success!

Downtown Square closed at 4pm today Wednesday September 30.

September 16, 2026 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce would like to inform residents, business owners and visitors that the entire Downtown Center Square will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the 50th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival to ensure the safety of festival attendees and accommodate scheduled activities and events. The Festival is October 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The roadways surrounding the square that will be closed include:

The 50th Annual East Poultry Festival Open Photography Show will be held at along with the Quilt Show and Creative Arts Show at First Baptist Church Family Life Center gym, October 1-3.

September 18, 2026 - Ihlo Sales and Import Company is sponsoring the East Texas Poultry Festival Doo Dah Parade

August 4, 2026 - Planning is underway for the 50th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 1st-3rd on the historic downtown Center square. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, September 11th.
