May 18, 2022 - Center Independent School District and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host an Appreciation Lunch for First Responders, throughout Shelby County this Friday, May 20th between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Center ISD Transportation Department.
First Responders including police officers, department of public safety officers, constables, Sheriff Deputies, firemen, medics, Game Wardens and law enforcement officials will be honored guests.
May 17, 2022 - Planning is underway for the 46th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 6-8th on the historic downtown Center square. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, September 16th. May 17, 2022 - The Chamber of Commerce Health Care Committee is hosting the May Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, May 25th at noon at the AgriLife Extension Office. Our guest speaker for May will be Dan Wilkins, Director of Cultivate Mental Health.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental Health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being. Mental Health is important at every stage of life form childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

The Health and Fitness Fair will be held Friday, October 21st from 9:00am until 2:30pm at the Windham Civic Center. The Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for vendors. April 18, 2022 - Electronics Recycle Day is scheduled for this Friday, April 22nd from 8:00am until 4:00 pm. The drop off location will be at R&J Disposal, 306 FM 2468 (Portacool Drive) right before you get to Portacool. Electronic items only may be recycled.
