July 30, 2024 - Planning is underway for the 48th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 3-5th on the historic downtown Center square. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, September 13th. To receive an application and a copy of the guidelines call the Chamber office or go online at www.shelbycountychamber.com.

July 29, 2024 - Applications are currently being accepted for the nine month long Leadership Shelby County program which is designed to identify potential leaders and develop within these individuals the knowledge, skills and vision necessary to enable them to actively participate in the enhancement of their communities.

July 18, 2024 - The Chamber of Commerce Health Care Committee is hosting the July Wellness Wednesday on Wednesday, July 24 at noon at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office. July 16, 2024 - Why did the chicken cross the road? To run in the 2024 East Texas Poultry Festival Chicken Trot, sponsored by Axley & Rode on Saturday, October 5th at Portacool Park. The 5K Chicken Trot will start at 8am. It is always a fun event, with proceeds going to the Center Rotary Club. Register now, and join the fun!

July 3, 2024 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to join them at a New Member Ribbon Cutting for CT’s Space Place on Thursday, July 11th at 12 noon.

CT’s Space Place, owned by Chris Tyre, is Shelby County’s newest climate controlled storage facility. CT’s Space Place is conveniently located at 807 Hurst Street, Suite E. It is a clean and well maintained storage facility using key card controlled access.
