December 4, 2025 - The 103rd Annual Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Celebration and Awards, presented by Farmers State Bank, will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2025. We will celebrate and recognize the achievements of 2025 and welcome a new year.
The highlight of the Celebration is our Awards presentations the Farm Family of the Year award, Young Citizen of the Year award and the Distinguished Service Award.
December 1, 2025 - The Taste of the Holidays, Sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank will be this Thursday, December 4 from 4:30-7:30 pm at the Windham Civic Center. It is a great way to kick off a fun holiday weekend and the December count down to Christmas.
Tickets are available for $15 person and are available at the Chamber offices until Thursday at 12-noon. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Children 5 and under are free.
Enjoy a fun festive evening while sampling cuisine and beverages from local restaurants and caterers.
December 1, 2025 - Santa's Christmas Parade This Saturday, Presented by HR Group
Santa Claus is coming to town this Saturday, December 6.
In keeping with the holiday tradition, the Grand Marshal, Roger Doyle, this year’s Distinguished Service Award winner, will lead the parade at 6pm. Over 20 floats will make their way through the heart of downtown to delight the young and old alike. Dazzle Me Pink & Blue is this year’s Grand Marshal sponsor.
December 1, 2025 - Due to the increased potential for rain on Monday, the Community Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony has been moved to Tuesday, December 2nd. The schedule of events remains the same.
Historic Courthouse and DRT Building Open House - 4:30pm
First Methodist Church choir - 5:30pm
Christmas Tree Lighting - 6pm
As an added bonus, moving the event to Tuesday coincides with Mooney’s Emporium Business After Hours event which is 5pm until 7pm.

November 21, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Mooney’s Emporium will welcome Chamber members and the public to a Business After Hours event on Tuesday, December 2nd from 5pm to 7:00pm at 107 San Augustine Street. Chelle Mooney will showcase the newest inventory items.
November 12, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Lisa and Roderick Jones, owners of White Cottage Mercantile, will welcome Chamber members and the community to a Business After Hours event on Thursday, November 20th from 5pm until 6:30pm.
November 10, 2025 - Tickets are now on Sale for the Annual Taste of the Holidays, sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank. The Taste of the Holidays will be Thursday, December 4th from 4:30-7:30pm at the Windham Civic Center. Tickets are $15 per person. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce office located in the old jail next to the historic courthouse.
Come sample cuisine and wine from local restaurants and caterers and enjoy a fun festive evening.
November 7, 2025 - The community is invited to attend a Stephen F. Austin State University tennis clinic and exhibition, featuring the Southland Conference Champion LadyJacks, at Center High School tennis courts on November 12th at 5pm.
This fun and educational event is a great opportunity for the Center High School tennis team, parents and community members to learn from collegiate athletes and coaches.
