48th East Texas Poultry Festival Seeks Arts, Crafts Vendors

July 17, 2024 - Planning is underway for the 48th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 3-5th on the historic downtown Center square. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, September 16th. Chamber New Member Ribbon Cutting for CT’s Space Place

July 3, 2024 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to join them at a New Member Ribbon Cutting for CT’s Space Place on Thursday, July 11th at 12 noon.

CT’s Space Place, owned by Chris Tyre, is Shelby County’s newest climate controlled storage facility. CT’s Space Place is conveniently located at 807 Hurst Street, Suite E. It is a clean and well maintained storage facility using key card controlled access.

Wellness Wednesday Program to Feature Dr. Oviedo

June 18, 2024 - Rodolfo J. Oviedo, MD will be this month’s Wellness Wednesday speaker, on June 26 at 12-noon at the Extension Office located at 266 Nacogdoches Street.

Dr. Oviedo is trained in all areas of general surgery, including metabolic and bariatric surgery. As a bariatric surgeon, he can help patients find relief from metabolic diseases and disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea and gastoesophageal reflux disease.

Cline Family Medicine Presents Annual Community Wellness Fair

June 10, 2024 - Planning is well underway for the Annual Community Wellness Fair, Presented by Cline Family Medicine. The Community Wellness Fair will be held Friday, August 9th from 9:00am until 2:00pm at the Windham Civic Center. The Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for vendors. Wellness Wednesday - April Prince, Attorney Estate Planning

May 21, 2024 - April Prince, Attorney will be this month’s Wellness Wednesday speaker, on May 29, 2024 at noon at the Extension Office located at 266 Nacogdoches Street. April Prince will go over basic estate planning documents and planning for incapacity as well as estate planning for heirs with special needs or disabilities.

April Prince specializes in Estate Planning, Elder Law Issues, Guardianships of Elderly and Incapacitated Individuals, Family Law Matters and General Counsel Business Services, just to name a few

48th East Texas Poultry Festival Creative Arts Show Committee Seeking Participants

May 14, 2024 - The 48th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank, is right around the corner – October 3, 4 and 5. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your creative side in art, quilting, canning, crafts, woodworking, metal art, photography, and baking.

All creative art divisions and are open to Youth (6th through 12th grades) and Adults (17 and older). The art division will also be open to Elementary (K – through 5th).
