2024 East Texas Poultry Festival Queen's Scholarship Pageant

September 15, 2024 - The 48th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival Queen’s Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday, September 28 and reigning Queen Laura Anne Scull will crown the 2024 Miss East Texas Poultry Festival Queen in the Center High School Cafetorium. The coronation ceremony will begin at 7pm. General admission is $5.

Shoe Sensation Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting

September 16, 2024 - The long awaited Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for Shoe Sensation will be on Friday, September 27th at 10am. Shoe Sensation is located at 639 Hurst Street.

Shop hot brands such as Heydude, Sketcher, Converse, Crocs and more. Shoe Sensation carries shoes for the entire family – women’s, men’s and kids’. Shop early on Saturday, September 28th, starting at 9:00am – the first 100 customers will receive a mystery gift worth up to $100.

ETPF Street Closure, Set-Up Schedule

September 24, 2024 - The 48th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival is just days away. The actual Festival will be Thursday – Saturday, October 3, 4 and 5. Again this year, San Augustine Street and Austin Street will be closed to thru traffic starting around 4pm on Wednesday, October 4. There will be three ticket booths this year – corners of San Augustine Street one at each end (same as last year) and an additional booth at the corner of Austin and Nacogdoches Street.

Doo Dah Parade Sponsored by Center Tire Company This Wednesday (Update)

September 24, 2024 - Everyone loves a parade.  The Poultry Festival Doo Dah Parade, will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, September 25 at 5pm. The parade will circle the Historic Downtown Center Square, led by the Shelby County Junior Chamber of Commerce. Pre-registration for this popular event is not required just show up and join in the fun! Ride in your pick up, golf cart, on a bike, skateboard, walk – show up and have fun.

Participants are to line up at the Farmers State Bank Drive-thru at 4:30pm. 

Tiger Shack Hosting New Member Ribbon Cutting

September 15, 2024 - Please join Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Tina and Chad Hutto, Owners of Tiger Shack, at a New Member Ribbon Cutting on Friday, September 20th at 11am. Tiger Shack is located at 211 South Center Street, Tenaha, Texas. The public is invited to attend to celebrate.

Tiger Shack will be serving Hunt Brother’s Pizza and drinks.

Tiger Shack is open Monday – Thursday from 10am until 8pm. It is open Friday and Saturday from 10am-10pm. Tiger Shack is closed on Sundays.
