August 21, 2024 - Wellness Wednesday will be held on August 28 at 12 noon at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office. Guest speaker will be Tina Byrnes, Director of Food Service at Center ISD. Tina will discuss Childhood Obesity and Nutrition.

August 20, 2024 - The 48th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival will be featuring local Creative Arts through the annual Creative Arts Show, sponsored by Doches Credit Union; the Photography Show, sponsored by The Light and Champion; and the Quilt Show, sponsored by Scull Timber. Don’t miss this opportunity to show your handiwork in art, quilting, photography, canning, crafts, woodworking, metal art, and baking.

July 29, 2024 - Applications are currently being accepted for the nine month long Leadership Shelby County program which is designed to identify potential leaders and develop within these individuals the knowledge, skills and vision necessary to enable them to actively participate in the enhancement of their communities.

August 7, 2024 - Applications for the Leadership Shelby County 2024-2025 Class are due this Friday, August 9th by 4pm at the Chamber office. Go to www.shelbycountychamber.com for an application or one may be picked up at the Chamber located at 100 Courthouse Square next to the historic courthouse. Applicants will be notified by Friday, August 16, 2024 following the selection process, as space is limited.
