Chamber Announces Teachers of the Year; Thanks All Contributors

May 8, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Teacher Appreciation reception, presented by Badders Law Firm and hosted by the Shelby County Chamber, was held on Wednesday, May 7 at the Windham Civic Center in Center at 4:30pm. The reception is held annually to salute and recognize the dedicated administrations and teaching staff of all the Shelby County school districts.

Shelby County Chamber Presents Teacher Appreciation on May 7

May 2, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Teacher Appreciation reception will be held Wednesday, May 7th at the Windham Civic Center in Center at 4:30pm.

The reception is held annually to salute and recognize the dedicated administrations and teaching staff of all the Shelby County school districts. Each campus Teacher of the Year will be recognized by his or her Principal and receive a Certificate of Recognition. The Shelby County Teacher of the Year for Elementary and Secondary schools will also be announced.

First Responders Appreciation Lunch Scheduled for May 2nd

April 28, 2025 - Center Independent School District and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host an Appreciation Lunch for First Responders, throughout Shelby County this Friday, May 2nd between 11am and 1pm at the Center Intermediate School gym, next to Portacool Park.

Martin Tire Service New Member Ribbon Cutting Set for May 5

April 28, 2025 - Join the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors in welcoming Martin Cervantes, owner of Martin Tire Service to the Chamber of Commerce at a New Member Ribbon Cutting. The Ribbon Cutting will be on Monday, May 5th at 11am.

Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation Open House to Celebrate CMS Four-Star Rating

March 24, 2025 – Holiday Nursing & Rehabilitation is excited to announce the recent CMS award designating Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation as an overall 4-star nursing facility, the only overall 4-star nursing facility in the region.

To celebrate this incredible achievement, Holiday Nursing & Rehabilitation would like to invite the community to our Open House on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Please join us for live music, refreshments and door prizes.

March 20, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Health Care Committee is excited to announce a new quarterly Wellness speaker series, Achieve a Balanced Life. This series will offer a variety of topics and speakers to support a Health Balanced Life.

Leadership Shelby County Learns About County's Agriculture Industry

March 25, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Shelby County Class of 2024-2025 attended Agriculture Day last week.

The Leadership Group visited the Tyson Feed Mill Plant, BRK Meat Processing facility, Livestock Nutrition Center and Viatrac Fertilizer. They also heard interesting presentations from the following: Sammy Dance and Spencer McFarland with Sammy Dance Land and Timber; Bob Reeves with Apex Mortality Solutions; Phelue Anderson and Sydney Rosario with Texas Veterinary Diagnostic Poultry Lab.

Holiday Nursing & Rehabilitation Celebrating 4-Star Overall Rating

March 11, 2025 - Members of the community are invited to join the Chamber Board of Directors and Ambassadors in celebrating and recognizing the entire staff at Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation on their achievement of a 4-Star Overall Rating with CMS. The Open House celebration will be Thursday, March 27th between 4pm-6pm and will include live music, refreshments and door prizes.

Leadership Shelby County Class Learns about Health Care Options

February 24, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Shelby County Class of 2024-2025 attended Health Care Day last week.

The Leadership Group visited the Emergency Room, Pine Grove Nursing Center, Allegiance Mobile Care, The Dialysis Clinic, Lakeside Assisted Living Facility, A Piney Woods HHC, Center Health and Harmony and Golden Eye Clinic. During lunch there were presentations from HOPE Community Medicine and Cornerstone Physical Therapy and Balance.

The class will attend Agriculture Day on March 19th.
