Leadership Shelby County Learns About County's Agriculture Industry

March 25, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Shelby County Class of 2024-2025 attended Agriculture Day last week.

The Leadership Group visited the Tyson Feed Mill Plant, BRK Meat Processing facility, Livestock Nutrition Center and Viatrac Fertilizer. They also heard interesting presentations from the following: Sammy Dance and Spencer McFarland with Sammy Dance Land and Timber; Bob Reeves with Apex Mortality Solutions; Phelue Anderson and Sydney Rosario with Texas Veterinary Diagnostic Poultry Lab.

Holiday Nursing & Rehabilitation Celebrating 4-Star Overall Rating

March 11, 2025 - Members of the community are invited to join the Chamber Board of Directors and Ambassadors in celebrating and recognizing the entire staff at Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation on their achievement of a 4-Star Overall Rating with CMS. The Open House celebration will be Thursday, March 27th between 4pm-6pm and will include live music, refreshments and door prizes.

Leadership Shelby County Class Learns about Health Care Options

February 24, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Shelby County Class of 2024-2025 attended Health Care Day last week.

The Leadership Group visited the Emergency Room, Pine Grove Nursing Center, Allegiance Mobile Care, The Dialysis Clinic, Lakeside Assisted Living Facility, A Piney Woods HHC, Center Health and Harmony and Golden Eye Clinic. During lunch there were presentations from HOPE Community Medicine and Cornerstone Physical Therapy and Balance.

The class will attend Agriculture Day on March 19th.

Shelby County Emergency Services Celebrates 10th Anniversary; Rescheduled Jan. 30

January 22, 2025 - Due to the continued cold weather conditions this week, the Shelby County Emergency Services and Diagnostic (ER) 10th Anniversary Celebration has been rescheduled for next Thursday, January 30th at 11am.

Shelby County Emergency Services and Diagnostic Imaging Center (ER) has been a cornerstone of the our community’s healthcare system for ten years. Since its opening in December 2015, the emergency room has been dedicated to delivering compassionate, cutting-edge medical care during life’s most critical moments.

Chamber of Commerce Seeks Award Nominations; Deadline Tomorrow

December 26, 2024 - The 102nd Annual Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Celebration & Awards, presented by Farmers State Bank, will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2024. We will celebrate and recognize the achievements of 2024 and welcome a new year.

The highlight of the Celebration is our Awards presentations the Farm Family of the Year award, Young Citizen of the Year award and the Distinguished Service Award.

Taste of the Holidays Tickets on Sale

November 27, 2024 - Tickets are now on Sale for the Annual Taste of the Holidays, Sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank. The Taste of the Holidays will be Thursday, December 5th from 4:30-7:30 at the Windham Civic Center. Tickets are $15 per person. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce office located in the old jail next to the historic courthouse.

Come sample cuisine and wine from local restaurants and caterers and enjoy a fun festive evening.
