Chamber Expresses 'Thanks' Giving Special Appreciation to Law Enforcement

October 6, 2025 - The 49th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival was a huge success! Thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, and the community for your support.

I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Center Police Department as well as to our other local law enforcement agencies, the Sheriff’s Office and State Troopers, for their outstanding service during this year’s Festival. Their presence, professionalism and dedication helped ensure a safe and enjoyable weekend for all attendees.

Elite Hospice and Palliative Care Hosting Ribbon Cutting

September 15, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Ambassadors are proud to welcome the newest Chamber member, Elite Hospice and Palliative Care. A New Member Ribbon Cutting for Elite Hospice and Palliative Care will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 1pm, at A Pineywoods located at 919 Nacogdoches highway. Community member and healthcare partners are invited to join the Ribbon Cutting.

East Texas Poultry Festival Queen's Court Welcome Party; Coronation Sept. 27

August 29, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce held a Welcome Party to introduce and welcome the 2025 East Texas Poultry Festival Queen’s Court. Reigning Queen, Lillian Chisenhall, joined the 2025 Court.

The upcoming schedule, pageant rules and guidelines were reviewed. The Queen’s Court program has a month long schedule of events including a Social, Girls Giving Back and a Red Carpet party as part of the enrichment program for the princesses and their escorts prior to the scholarship Coronation.
