Noble Children's Services Holds Ribbon Cutting Event (Video)

September 28, 2023 - Noble Children’s Services celebrated opening at their new location at 1306 Louisiana Street with a ribbon cutting event hosted by the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce September 13, 2023.

Deborah Chadwick, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce President, welcomed and introduced the owner Elizabeth Andrusick, B.A., LCPAA - Executive Director & Administrator.

Andrusick described Noble Children’s Services as a child placing agency, which she explained most people would identify as a foster adoption agency. She said they are celebrated 13 years in service and they have been remodeling their offices and have been very successful as they have been growing.

“We recruit families and train families to take care of children, match those children up who come into care who have been removed from their biological homes, and then we provide services,” said Andrusick.

One of the areas of care Andrusick highlighted they are responsible for are “intense level” children who have specialized needs such as medical, or psychological.

“We provide all the services, support, plus we monitor the homes to make sure the homes are doing what they’re supposed to be doing, and provide support for them” said Andrusick.

Andrusick elaborated on some of the services they offer and the care that is needed.

“There’s not a lot of agencies out there that take in critically ill children who have terminal illnesses and major traumatic injuries,” said Andrusick.

Some of the children they provide services for may be on ventilators, have a tracheostomy, and feeding tubes to name some. According to Andrusick, some made need speech, occupational, and physical therapy as well as a staff of nurses within the home.

“We kind of pride ourselves on really making a quality atmosphere and taking care of those critically ill children,” said Andrusick.

A large number of children’s issues are addressed daily, and Andrusick explained that every day has 20 to 25 children handled through intake by email, as well as calls through the night that may occur for emergency removals.

Andrusick named her staff members and they are Samantha Fenwick - Program Coordinator; Jamie Rose, RN, BSN - Case Manager/; Jennifer Holt - Case Coordinator; Nicole Grissom, B.S. - Case Manager; Feather Andrusick - Office Manager; Jen Wolf, B.S. - Director of Foster Home Development; and Courtney Brittain, B.S. - Director of Social Services.
