April 29, 2016 - The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southern Rusk County, Northwestern Angelina County, Nacogdoches County, West Central Shelby County, Southeastern Cherokee County until 8:45pm CDT
At 7:59pm CDT a severe thunderstorm was located near Forest or 17 miles north of Apple Springs moving northeast at 55mph. Hazardous 60 MPH wind gusts and quarter size hail was indicated by radar. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include: Nacogdoches, Hudson, Garrison, Wells, Trawick, Pollok, Forest, Minden, Douglass, Cushing, Appleby, Mount Enterprise, Central, Stockman, Lawsonville, Lilbert, Looneyville, Linwood and Clawson.
Precaustionary/ Preparedness actions include for your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 10:00pm CDT for Northeastern Texas.
