April 26, 2023 - Timpson Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) was a staging area on the evening of April 26, 2023, following a severe storm which passed through the area causing downed trees, power outages and in some cases entrapment in homes.
Fire personnel gathered at TVFD to coordinate with City of Timpson Utility workers, Texas Division of Emergency Management representatives and law enforcement officials.

Once a plan was in place, firefighters left in teams and proceeded to county roads reported to have been affected by the storm and they branched out from there to investigate other areas.

Emergency personnel are continuing into the night to work at clearing roadways and utility crews are working to restore power in areas that still have none.
Fire departments presents to assist Timpson included Tenaha VFD, and Shelbyville VFD.
