Piney Woods Photographic Society May Meeting Results

May 23, 2018 - The PWPS held their monthly meeting Saturday, May 19, 2018 with a large attendance to hear the very informative workshop on "The Sunny 16 Rule" describing how synchronize the proper settings on your camera for taking outdoor photographs, presented by Janet Windham Hughes.

The May Challenge featured a total of 24 photographs submitted by members for voting and critique on "Black and White". The quality of the pictures was outstanding and showed the talent of all who participated. Afterward, club members went on a photo shoot to the Lily Farm, on Hwy 7 West, Center, Texas, to utilize all the new information they learned in the workshop. Although the heat was gruesome, we helped each other with locating a good specimen to shoot and advice on how to get the best shot, because that is what we do in the PWPS, help you to learn more about photography.

The Piney Woods Photographic Society is meant for camera enthusiasts of all skills and interests. Our goal is to help you become a better photographer and give you a place to meet others who share your passion for photography. We try to create programs and activities with information and instruction for all skill levels in an environment of support and cooperation.

Visitors are welcome to attend our meetings with or without a member.

The PWPS would like to welcome new member Pollene Walker, Center, TX., we know you will be an asset to the club.
