September 19, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will hold their regular meeting this Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street, Center, Texas. From 9am to 12 noon, the club will be accepting photo entries to the East Texas Poultry Festival Photography exhibit.
August 21, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their August meeting this past Saturday at the First Methodist Church in Center, Texas. The August Challenge was "Still Life Minimalism" There was also a workshop presented on Night Photography in preparation for the September challenge.
August 13, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will hold their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, August 16, 2025, starting at 9am, in Center, Texas at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street. There will be a monthly challenge where members will submit up to 3 of their photos of still life minimalism photography, using created or found still life subjects. Night Photography will be the workshop presented. If you have an interest in photography, feel free to attend any of our meetings.

The July Challenge was "Show Me Your Patriotism" where club members may submit up to 3 of their pictures that represent Patriotism, a reminder for everyone what it means to be an American.

June 25, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday. The June Challenge was Food Photography, where each member submitted up to three of their photos to the challenge for favorite votes and discussion on each one. There was a three way tie for club favorite. They were Julie Cantrell-Green "Onions", Starla Fischer, "Elk Surprise" and Debra Cockrell, "Salad."
June 19, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting on the third Saturday of the month, June 21, 2025, at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street, Center, Texas, from 9am to 12 noon. There will be a workshop presented on post processing your photos. The monthly challenge is Food Photography, where members have submitted up to three of their food photographs for discussion among members on how to improve each photo.
April 14, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting this coming Saturday, April 19, 2025, held at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, Tx., from 9am - 12-noon.
The monthly challenge is Creative Flower Photography. Members will be able to submit up to 3 of their challenge photos for discussion and club favorite votes. There will also be a workshop presentation on fundamentals of black and white photography.
March 18, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting the past Saturday at the First Methodist Church in Center, Texas. The workshop presentation was on how to photograph flowers extraordinaire. All members are encouraged to submit up to three of their photos with the color GREEN being the dominant factor for discussion and club members voting for their favorite photos.
