Piney Woods Photographic Society March Meeting This Weekend

March 11, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will hold their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the First Methodist Church at 211 Cora Street, Center, Texas, from 9am until 12 noon. All members are encouraged to submit up to three of their photos with the color GREEN being the dominant factor for discussion and club members voting for their favorite photos.

Piney Woods Photographic Society "Abstract Macro Photography" Challenge Favorites

February 24, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting Saturday, February 15th, at the First Methodist Church in Center Texas. The February Challenge theme was "Abstract Macro Photography" where club members could submit up to 3 of their photos of Abstract Macro Photography for club favorite voting and discussion of each photo. There was also a workshop presented on photo processing using Lightroom/Photoshop in preparation of the March challenge.

Piney Woods Photographic Society's Workshop on Post Process Colors

February 12, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, Texas, from 9am - 12 noon. The February challenge is "Abstract Macro Photography" where each member may submit up to 3 of their photos for club favorite voting and discussions to help club members to improve their photography skills. There will be a workshop presentation on Post Process Colors using Lightroom. Visitors are always welcome to attend.

 

Piney Woods Photographic Society Announces January Challenge Winners

January 20, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) held their January challenge, online, this past Saturday. The Theme was "Photographer's Choice" Members could submit up to three photos for voting and discussion among the club members on camera setting, composition, subject choice, etc. This category has photos of whatever the photographer chooses, any subject, genre, technique is allowed. The only rule is that it must be taken by the photographer.

Piney Woods Photographic Society Annual Christmas Meeting

December 18, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their monthly meeting this Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street, Center, Texas from 9am - 12 noon. This will be the club's annual Christmas event. Members, their  families and friends are invited to attend. Bring your favorite snack/dessert/drink and come enjoy a fun fellowship.

Piney Woods Photographic Society Announces "Streetscape Photography" Favorites

November 18, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday. There was a workshop presented on photo processing using Lightroom/Photoshop. The November Challenge was "Streetscape Photography." There were some really great photos submitted by members and the Favorites are as follows. Piney Woods Photographic Society Announces "Perspective Angles" Favorites

October 21, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the First Methodist Church in Center, Texas.

The October Challenge was classified as "Perspective Angles," where club members could submit up to 3 of their photographs, using the same subject with 3 different angles. Low angle, high angle and Dutch angle. Clubs members voted for their favorite photos and a critique discussion was held.

PWPS Regular Meeting for October

October 16, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will hold its regular monthly meeting this Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9am to 12pm at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, Texas. The meeting will include a workshop on photographing streetscapes.

Visitors are always welcome, regardless of their level of photography skill.
