Piney Woods Photographic Society January 2024 Challenge Winner

January 22, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their first meeting of the 2024 year this past Saturday. The January Challenge was "Photographer's Choice." Club members were able to submit up to 3 photographs of their choosing for discussion and voting. There was also a workshop presented by Billie Haggard Jones on "Finding the Picture in the Picture" about how to photograph macros (extreme close-ups) and close-ups.

Piney Woods Photographic Society to Meet Jan. 20

January 15, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting this third Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, Texas from 9am - 12 noon. The monthly challenge is "Photographer's Choice". Members will submit up to three photos of their choosing for discussion and voting. There will also be a workshop presented by Billie Jones on photographing "Macros/Close-up".

December 11, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will hold their December meeting this Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, Tx. from 9am - 12pm.

November 21, 2023 - Well, PWPS members, we have made it to the final challenge of the year. I must say everyone made an exceptional effort with the monthly challenges this year.

PWPS November Meeting Featuring “Before and After” Challenge

November 13, 2023 - The PwPS will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 9am.- 12pm, at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center.

The November Challenge will be Before and After, where members will submit previous 2023 challenge photos with appropriate critique changes. Only one before and after will be submitted by club members for discussion and voting. The workshop presentation will be on post processing your photos. All members are encouraged to attend and to invite a friend .

Piney Woods Photographic Society "Colors" Challenger Winners

October 24, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora Street, Center, Texas. The October Challenge was "Colors" Members submitted photographs of this choice featuring Complimentary colors, Analogous colors, and Monochromatic colors as shown on the color wheel.

October 18, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St.,, Center, TX. from 9am - 12pm. Visitors are welcome to attend and meet club members and participate in activities.

The Workshop will be on Photo Editing and the October Challenge will be "COLORS". Members will submit up to three photos depicting Complimentary, Analogous and Monochromatic Colors for voting and discussion.

2023 East Texas Poultry Festival Photography Results (Updated)

October 7, 2023 (Photo album of entries coming soon) - This year’s photography show was a huge success! All the entries were exceptional, and the judges certainly had a tough group of photos to work with. Thanks to all the competitors and volunteers for their interest and hard work.
