Piney Woods Photographic Society November Challenge Winners

November 23, 2022 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) held their November meeting this past Saturday. The November challenge was "Perspective." These photos were taken using different angles to enhance the viewing perspective of each photo. Members are able to submit up to three of their photos for discussion and favorites voting.

November 18, 2022 - The PWPS will be holding their regular monthly meeting Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, Tx. from 9a. - 12pm. Visitors are always welcome to attend. There will be a workshop of Post Processing your photographs and the November Challenge will be "Perspective".

Members may submit up to three photographs for comment and voting showing different perspectives, low angle, high angle, framing, forced perspective, etc., using a subject of their choice.

Pineywoods Photographic Society Announces October Challenge Favorites

October 25, 2022 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society its regular monthly meeting Saturday, October 15, 2022. There was a workshop presentation on "Perspective" in photography in preparation for the November Challenge. Challenge photos featured any photograph shot with a large aperture setting with the subject of their choice. After voting for their favorites by members and technique discussions the Favorites for the month of October are:

Piney Woods Photographic Society to Meet October 15

October 10, 2022 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their October meeting this Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, TX.

The PWPS is a club for camera enthusiasts of all skills and interests. Our goal is to help you become a better photographer and give you a place to meet others who share your passion for photography. Featuring programs and activities with information and instruction for all skill levels in an environment of support and cooperation.

Piney Woods Photographic Society Challenger Winners; ETPF Photo Contest Extended (Today)

September 19, 2022 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) meet this past Saturday and accepted entries in the ETPF Photography Contest.

Billie Jones with the PWPS expressed appreciation to those attending, "I would like to thank everyone that came to the monthly meeting, Saturday, to help accept entries for the East Texas Poultry Festival Photography Contest. Just to let everyone know, I have extended the entry deadline until Saturday, September 24, 2022. If anyone should ask about photo entries, have them contact me."

September 14, 2022 - (Entry Form) - Alert!! Alert!! Alert!! The deadline for the East Texas Poultry Festival Photography Show is coming in 2 weeks!!! Entries will be accepted Saturday morning September 17, 2022 from 9am - 12pm at the First United Methodist Church Basement.

August 25, 2022 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society announces their August monthly challenge "Creatures" winners. Members voted online and the results were a three-way tie for first place.

Piney Woods Photographic Society Announces "Reflections" Challenge Winners

July 18, 2022 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their July meeting this past Saturday. There was an informative workshop presented on "How to Photograph Animals." There was also a monthly challenge "Reflections" with photos submitted by members showing a reflection as the main subject.
