August 22, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their August meeting this Saturday, 8/24/24, at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter, Tx. Center, Tx. from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. There will be a workshop on Documentary Photography and the monthly challenge will be of photos of "Patterns/Textures/Line". Members may submit up to 3 photos for voting and discussions to help better their photography. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy.
August 14, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will not be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, August 17. This month only, it will be changed to the 4th Saturday of the month, August 24. The meeting is from 9am to 12 noon at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, TX. Anyone with an interest in photography or cameras is invited to attend.
July 22, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, July 20, 2024. There was a workshop presentation on Photographing Patterns, Textures and LInes. The monthly challenge was "Abstracts" where club members submitted up to 3 photos of their choice displaying their version of abstract photography. The group had a fun time with this challenge noted by the number of submissions. The club voted on their favorite photos and discussed how, if any, changes could be made to help the photographer improve their photo.
July 17, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center., Tx. from 9am - 12pm. If you are interested in photography and want to associate with those that like photography also, please make plans to attend.
June 21, 2024 - The PWPS held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday. There was a workshop given by Billie Jones on Abstract Photography, Tips and Techniques. The June Challenge was "Shadows/Silhouettes" where club members submitted up to 3 photos they took of either shadow or silhouettes for "Favorite" votes and discussions.
The next meeting will be held the third Saturday in July, visitors are always welcome to attend.

May 21, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday. The May Challenge was "Animals/Pets" with members submitting up to three of their favorite pet or animal photos for Favorite Voting by club members and discussions. The 1st Place Favorite was "Help!!" by Debra Cockrell. There was a tie for 2nd/3rd Place Favorite: "Jack's Joyride" by Billie Haggard Jones and "Afternoon Snack" by Bobbie Jean Wood.
May 13, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter St., Center, Texas., from 9am to 12 noon. The May Challenge is Animals/Pets and there will be a workshop on Photographing Shadows/Silhouettes.
April 22, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, in Center, Tx. The April Challenge was "Landscapes" featuring photos submitted by members with the main focal point being Sky Activities. Photos with the sky, clouds, rain, snow sunrises or sunsets being the main feature in the photo. There was a workshop presented on Animal/Pet Photography Tips and Techniques in preparation for the August Challenge of Pets/Animals.
