June 21, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their June meeting this past Saturday. The workshop was on Night Photography and the June Challenge was Architecture/Cityscapes. Members submitted up to three photos to this challenge for Favorite votes and discussions. The challenge favorite was a really tough one, since there was a 3 way tie for 1st Place favorite. The First Place favorites are: "Window Shopping" by Bobbie Jean Wood, "On the Corner" by Billie Haggard Jones and "Jordan 2023" by Lawrence Davis.
June 16, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Center, Texas at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street, from 9am - 12 noon. There will be a workshop on Night Photography and the June Challenge is Architecture/Cityscapes. Visitors are welcome to attend.
April 17, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday in Center, Texas at the First United Methodist Church. There was a workshop given on "Depth of Field / F-Stops" in preparation for next month's challenge.
The April Challenge was "Photographing Flora." Each club member submitted up to three of their photos on Flora for discussion and voting for their favorite top three photos. The Flora challenge was the largest challenge so far this year with some really wonderful photos.
April 12, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be having their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church, 212 Porter Street, Center, Texas, from 9 am - 12 noon.
There will be a workshop about F-stops/Depth of Field. The April Challenge will be “Photographing Flora.” Club members submit up to three of their photos highlighting flowers, trees, bushes etc. All things Flora. If you are looking for a group of people to talk photography with, come check out this meeting.
March 20, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their March meeting this past Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church, Center, TX. There was a workshop presented on "Photographing Flora" presented by Billie Jones with the monthly challenge being "Flight". Each member submitted up to 3 photographs where a form of flight was the main subject.
March 13, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding the regular monthly meeting this Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, TX. from 9am - 12pm. There will be a workshop presented on Photographing Flora.
The monthly challenge will be photos on Flight. There will be a photoshoot following the meeting at the SFA Arboretum/Gardens. Transportation will be provided if anyone wants to attend.
February 20, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held the regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, February 18th with a workshop presented by Billie Jones on "Photographing Flight" and a February Challenge "Still-Life Minimalism" featuring photos submitted by members for voting and discussion.

The photo challenge for February is "Minimalist Still Life Photography". There will also be a workshop presented on how to photograph "Flight."

January 23, 2023 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their first monthly meeting of 2023 this past Saturday, January 21st. The new year was kickstarted by the "Photographer"s Choice" Challenge with 22 photo submissions by club members for critique and favorite voting. What a great way to start the new year!
December 12, 2022 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will be holding their December meeting Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 9 a.m. -12 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., Center, TX. Members and friends are invited to attend this Christmas meet and eat. There will be some good fellowship, photography conversations and some great food to share.
