March 18, 2021 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 9am - 12pm at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Porter St., Center, TX. There will be a monthly challenge of photographs submitted by club members featuring Architectural photos and a workshop about taking great photos on "Flight in Motion."
February 23, 2021 - The PWPS was not able to have their February meeting this past Saturday, but were able to hold the February Challenge "Window Lighting" with members voting on-line for their favorites.

January 18, 2021 - The virtual challenge for January "Photographers Choice" always has been one of my favorites. It gives each photographer the chance to show their favorite style of photography. Club members enjoyed a variety of Photography styles to select from for favorites.

January 10, 2021 - Due to the spike in Covid 19 cases, the Piney Woods Photographic Society January meeting has been cancelled. There will be a virtual monthly challenge “Photographers Choice” to be viewed on the club Flickr Page - https://www.flickr.com/groups/pineywoodsphotographic/
PWPS encourages everyone to stay safe and be considerate of others and hopefully February will be a better outlook.
November 22, 2020 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday in Center, Texas at the First United Methodist Church. The monthly challenge "What's That?" showed members having fun doing abstract photography. There was also a workshop featuring editing in Lightroom/Photoshop and updates. With the Covid 19 keeping some members quarantined, voting was done, both virtual and in person.
November 18, 2020 - The PWPS will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, November 21, 2020 in Center, TX at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street from 9am to 12 noon. There will be a workshop on editing in Lightroom/Photoshop and the monthly challenge will be "What's That?" featuring abstract photography submitted by memebers.

October 19, 2020 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society did not have their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, but the October Challenge, "The Eyes Have It," was done virtually. Club members posted three of their favorite photographs, with "EYES" being the main subject, for voting and critique by fellow members.
October 14, 2020 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting, this coming Saturday, October 17th, 9am to 12 noon at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Porter St., Center, TX. Social distancing will be observed and masks are required to attend. The monthly challenge is "The Eyes Have It" featuring photographs submitted by club members with eyes being the main topic. The workshop will be on tips and techniques on "Photographing Abstracts."
October 5, 2020 - Well, The 2020 East Texas Poultry Festival is in the books. I would personally like to thank everyone who participated in the Photography Contest. There were lots of great photos in such a short period of time. Just as I suspected everyone has their favorite photo.
