January 22, 2024 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their first meeting of the 2024 year this past Saturday. The January Challenge was "Photographer's Choice." Club members were able to submit up to 3 photographs of their choosing for discussion and voting. There was also a workshop presented by Billie Haggard Jones on "Finding the Picture in the Picture" about how to photograph macros (extreme close-ups) and close-ups.
If you got a new camera for Christmas and need help with learning how to use it, or just would like some help to become a better photographer, please feel free to attend our next meeting, the third Saturday of the month held at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora St., starting at 9 a.m. Featuring programs and activities with information and instruction for all skill levels in an environment of support and cooperation and gives you a place to meet others who share your passion for photography.
