February 1, 2024 - Porter Street in Center was the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Monday, January 22, 2024.
According to the Center Police Department, at around 7pm a grey Nissan driven by Aleeha Taylor, 19, of Lufkin was traveling southeast on Porter Street and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Logansport Street. As a result, the Nissan struck a blue Honda driven by Semaira Hendricks, of Center.
No injuries were reported resulting from the crash of Taylor or Hendricks and her passenger Jakaila Swindle, 21, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
No citations were issued.
